William F. Florio, Sr.

WILLIAM F. FLORIO, SR. age 80. After nearly a year long battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Beloved and treasured husband of Nancy (née Jones). Loving father of William F. Florio, Jr. (Sharon Zimmerman). Devoted brother of Ann Schuster (John), Christopher Florio (Sharon), and Marilyn Murar (Mike). Best friend of Kevin Griffin, Dave Kause, and Frank Sinito. Uncle to many and Godfather to Megan McKenzie.

Bill began his career as a policeman in Olmsted Township and the City of Cleveland and eventually transitioned to Chief Investigator for Cuyahoga County Probate Court and Police Liaison for the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office. In addition to his career in law enforcement, Bill started a highly successful private investigation firm in 1970, working with law firms and businesses across the country, for nearly 50 years. Bill's contagious smile, sense of humor, and impeccable style will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know him.
