Vivian Marie Rose (nee Berg) passed away peacefully on September 27, 2022 at the age of 85.
Born in Minneapolis and a 1955 graduate of Washburn High School, Vi told stories of ice skating on Lake Harriet and fun times growing up with nine brothers and sisters.
As a mom, she always made the holidays extra special, creating award-winning Halloween costumes, a Christmas tree full of handmade ornaments and a house full of cookies.
Vivian was retired from the Strongsville Senior Center, but her favorite job was being grandma to her granddaughters in New Jersey.
Recently, as her mobility started to decline, she always remained positive and optimistic even during her last days at Holy Family Hospice.
Vivian is survived by her daughter Kelly, son-in-law Todd, granddaughters Claudia and Gretchen; her son TJ, who was her ever-present caretaker; sisters Meredythe Hazlett, Nancy Lynn and brother Dick Berg.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arnie and Vivian Berg, sisters Yvonne Gustafson, Maxine Slipka, Eileen Zeissler, brothers Donald Berg, Arne Berg, Jerry Berg and her ex-husband Thomas Rose, whom she cared for prior to his passing.
Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141 from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Holy Family Home Care & Hospice 6707 State Road Parma Ohio 44134 or at https://staugministries.org/holy-family/
