Virginia Ann (Bechtold) Schulte

Virginia "Ginny" Ann Schulte (nee Bechtold) age 93 of Brecksville, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" J. Schulte, Loving mother of Rick (Liz), John (Anna), Russell, Robert and Rebecca Amsdell (Jeff); Dearest grandmother of Richard (Valeria), Bray, Kris and Marcus (Lisa) Schulte and Jeffrey and Stephen Amsdell; Dear great grandmother of Brenna and Isabella Schulte; Sister of Dorothy Hays (Mike) and the late Ellen Phillipe (Sam), Jim (Rosanne), Max (Gertrude), Alice Blank (Albert), Jeannie Wasleski (Victor), Harold (Ruth), and Bob (Donna).

Virginia Ann Schulte was born on 10/14/1928 on the family dairy farm in Boonville, Missouri. She was raised a devout Catholic. After college she worked as an office assistant in St Louis where she met US Navy Lt. j.g. Richard Schulte.  When Richard first saw her walking down the steps of the St Louis Cathedral, it was love at first sight. They married in 1957, and had five children.

Following Richard in his 30 year navy career, they lived in numerous locations throughout the US and Japan. They finally settled down in Ohio, after Richard retired from the Navy.

She was a gracious, generous and loving person. She has always cared more about others than herself.  She had a great love for art, golf, travel, and family.  She was the heart that held the family together. There is no doubt that God lived in her heart and instilled this love in her children.

Private family services to be held. Virginia will be buried next to her husband Dick at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
