TONY JONES, 60, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence, strength, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born and raised in East Cleveland, Tony graduated as the salutatorian of his class from Shaw High School. He continued his education at Baldwin Wallace University and Case Western Reserve University, earning advanced degrees that helped launch a long and successful career in finance. He retired from Industrious Group in 2026 after many years of dedicated service in his field.
Family was at the center of Tony’s life. He fiercely loved and protected those closest to him and was especially proud of his daughters, Charlene and Antoinette, and all they accomplished. His generosity touched countless lives, as he quietly helped those in need, often anonymously and without seeking recognition. To Tony, helping others was simply “the right thing to do.”
Tony also had a lifelong passion for basketball. Though he stepped away from playing years ago, he found great joy in watching his great-nephew, Carter, learn the game and develop his own talents on the court.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Debra (née Ellsbury); his daughters, Dr. Charlene Jones (Joseph) and Dr. Antoinette Jones; his sister, Violet Jones; his brother, Eric Jones; and his twin sister, Tina Jones. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Jones.
Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
