Theodore Toth

Theodore "Ted" Toth, age 97, passed away peacefully June 27 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 12, 1928, to the late Barney Toth and Julia Balint Toth. He spent his later years in Sagamore Hills where he continued to enjoy family, friends, and the outdoors.

Ted was one of eight children and carried with him a deep appreciation for family throughout his life. In 1947, he married the love of his life, Betty Ann, beginning a remarkable marriage that spanned 78 years. Together they built a loving home and raised a family that became his greatest source of pride and joy.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ted is lovingly survived by his wife, Betty Ann; his five children: Tim (Linda), Chris, Tom (Dawn), Barb (John), and Cindy (Ron); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ted dedicated 20 years of service to the Department of Veterans Affairs serving the Federal Government with integrity and commitment.

Ted had a lifelong passion for photography and found great joy in capturing the beauty of nature. He generously volunteered at Cuyahoga Valley National Park where his photos appeared in many publications. He also cherished traveling throughout Europe and created many treasured memories boating on Lake Erie with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Kidney Fund.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this time. Ted will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. Ted's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 10 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).  Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield, Ohio.
