Thelma M. (Schroeter) Schaefer

Thelma M. Schaefer (nee Schroeter) age 100 passed away, Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Arthur; loving mother of John Schaefer (Lisa), Jean Bair (John) and Jim Schaefer (Brenda); Grandmother of Jeremy (Lisa), Daniel (Lisa), Elizabeth, Jillian (Bryan), Jordan, Shannon, Allison; great grandmother of 9.

Thelma spent most of her adult life as a secretary for numerous places. She was an avid reader, loved solitaire and was very involved with the St. John Lutheran Church, LWML. Everyone loved her bacon spaghetti, Christmas cut out cookies and she was known affectionately as The Jello Lady. In October of 2024, Thelma was able to serve as the flower girl for her granddaughter's wedding. She was a friend to all and loved by many.

Friends will be received at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 2-5 pm and on Monday, July 7 from 10-11 am followed by Thelma's service at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 11333 Granger Rd., Garfield Hts., OH. Interment to follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thelma's name are suggested to the St. John Lutheran Church, 11333 Granger Rd., Garfield Hts., OH 44125.
