Suzanne Carol Patrick

Suzanne Carol Patrick, age 54, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. 

Suzanne was the beloved daughter of Sherry Klodnick (Tim) and Daniel Patrick (Kathy); loving mother of Patrick Stankiewicz (Alison), Drew Stankiewicz, Jake Stankiewicz, Rachel Stankiewicz, and Mary Grace Whisenant; devoted grandmother of Anthony and Griffin Stankiewicz; dearest sister of David Patrick (Sheridan); dear step-sister of Kent Klodnick (Lori), Kurt Klodnick (Brenda), and Keith Klodnick (Angela); aunt of James and Michael Patrick, Cassidy and Carson Klodnick, Erica and Melissa Klodnick, Spencer and Sutton Klodnick, and McKenna Sperli (Eric); and loyal friend to sisters Stacy Hovancsek and Tracy Cindrich. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Alex Whisenant.

Suzanne began her career as a labor and delivery nurse at MetroHealth Hospital. Eventually, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her children, whom she loved dearly. Suzanne was a vibrant soul who radiated joy and love, lighting up every room she walked into with her infectious smile and bubbly personality. Her presence made an impact on countless people, and her beautiful smile and kindhearted nature will always be remembered. Suzanne had a deep love for her friends and family and always went out of her way to fill her home with warmth and kindness. Suzanne was also an avid Browns and Indians fan, and she especially took joy in watching her children and family compete and cheer for sports.

Six years ago, Suzanne moved to her Lake Norman waterfront dream home in North Carolina. There, she cherished spending time with her loved ones, soaking up the sunsets from her wrap-around porch, and enjoying her favorite pastimes: fishing and boating.

Suzanne's generous heart was evident in the way she hosted Christmas in Key Largo for her family and dear friends. Her absence will be felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Brecksville United Church of Christ, 23 Public Square, Brecksville, OH 44141 on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10 am.

A Celebration of Suzanne's life will be held at Quality Inn, Richfield on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:30-3 pm.
