Sue Miedl

Sue Ann Miedl (nee Nau) age 80, longtime Independence resident, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Miedl for 41 years.  Loving mother of Christina Chaney, Kim Langenderfer, and Eric Smith.  Dear step-mother of Linda Packard, Tom Miedl (Kristin Tahsler), and Dave Miedl (Britt Nielsen).  Devoted grandmother of Laura Edwards (Daniel), Justin Miedl, and Allison Miedl.  Dearest great grandmother of Calvin Edwards and Adyson Miedl. Sister-in-law of Elaine Ward. Aunt of David Nau (Martha), William Nau (Terri), James Ward and Robert Ward.  

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Isabelle (nee Reamer) Nau; and her brothers, Paul Nau (Mary Lou) and Edward Nau.

Sue was born and raised in Port Clinton, Ohio.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, caring for her dogs, and....Diet Coke.  She was a sweet and kind person who never met a stranger, and retired as a driver's training instructor at Heights Driving School.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Inn at Apple Ridge for their loving care over the last four years where Sue was a favorite among staff.  A special thanks to Joann Kelley, a loving caring companion and friend for many years.  Also, thank you to Donna Morris and Richard Burns, longtime caring neighbors and family friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Interment at Mapleshade Cemetery in Independence.
