CHRIST IS RISEN!

STEVE BOUKIS, age 93 fell asleep in the Lord on April 28, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife Vaso of 56 years, his children Fr. Jon (Presvytera Doreece), Lynn, and Catherine Gaudio (Michael). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Vasilia Maria Boukis, Vasilea Rose and Joseph Steven Gaudio. He leaves behind his two brothers Ken and Gary, their spouses, along with many nieces and nephews.

Steve served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Knox, KY. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, riding roller coasters, doing jigsaw puzzles, and completing the Sunday Plain Dealer Crossword Puzzle. Steve would often share stories of memories he made with his two best friends Marty and Tom. In his later years, he looked forward to his cup of black coffee, his Hershey chocolate bars, and especially loved spending time with his family. Over the last few months, Steve was always telling people how much he loved God and Jesus, even though his memory was fading, he never forgot that.

Steve was an accomplished CPA with a successful private practice. He also did accounting work at his brother's law firm for several years. Steve was one of the founding fathers of St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church in North Royalton, OH.     

He is preceded in death by his son Jimmy Boukis, parents John and Georgia Boukis, and his brother Christ Boukis.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Regina Health Care Memory Unit for the phenomenal care they provided to Steve while he resided there.   

Family and Friends will be received at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 4548 Wallings Rd., North Royalton, OH 44133 on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. where Steve's Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Theodosius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family in Steve's memory would be appreciated.
