Robert "Bob" R. Gessner, Jr.

Gessner, Robert "Bob", Jr, age 73 of Bath OH passed away Friday, September 12, 2025.

Beloved husband of Linda L (nee Piascik) for 52 years; loving father of Caitlin, dearest brother of Karen Munson (Eddie, deceased) and the late Janis Munson. Dear brother-in-law of Patricia Pender (Bill), David Piascik (Moira), Will Mihalega (Carolyn, deceased) and the late Thomas Piascik. Uncle of many special nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 19, 1952 to Robert and Shirley Gessner. Bob was never a very good student in his younger years, but loved college, eventually obtaining his CPA license. His accounting career gave him the opportunity to work in Pittsburg, PA and Dallas, TX.

Bob was such a wonderful husband and father. He loved spending time with family and friends, always laughing with his big booming voice. He enjoyed music of all types and would sing to anyone who would listen - some songs over and over again ("Cow Paddies"). Bob loved old movies, Casablanca was his favorite.

He enjoyed camping at Mosquito Lake, beach vacations to Redington Beach, FL and Virginia Beach. Another passion was going on his yearly fishing trips to Memquisit Lodge in Canada with all his buddies. The fish tales he would tell - over and over and over again. An exciting moment was a fishing trip to Lake St. Clair when he was one of the three who hit "THE TRIPLE FIFTY".

...What matters most of all is the dash between those years 1952 - 2025

For that dash represents all the time that he spent on earth

And now only those who loved him knew what that little time is worth

Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bob's Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
