Raymond Francis Schwonek

Raymond Francis Schwonek, 90 passed away on Saturday, 11 January 2020. He was Born on 21 August 1929 to Edward and Theodosia (née Magalski) Schwonek in Cleveland, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Joan (née Schneider) and daughter Thea. He is survived by sons Matthew and Eric, “the last of the Mohicans.” Beloved husband and father, his greatest joy was his family and home, while he especially delighted in the brood’s summer vacations. Working for Dow Chemical, he was a loyal company man, but mostly liked his coworkers. He liked golf even more. Proud of his service in Strategic Air Command, he ever afterward counseled against joining anything. He will be remembered for his wisdom, wit, and heart. Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OHIO 44141 on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A prayer service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, January 15 at 9:15 a.m. followed by Raymond's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City, Ohio.
