Peggy Jirousek

PEGGY JIROUSEK (nee Unroe), age 75, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Loving wife of Raymond for 50 years. Cherished mother of Todd (Taryn) and Ryan. Devoted grandmother of Oliver and Hazel. Dear daughter of the late Lewis and Eleanor Unroe and sister of the late Jerry Unroe. Beloved aunt of David and Daniel Jirousek, and Joel and Colleen Unroe.

Born and raised in Kent Ohio, Peggy graduated from Kent State University’s business program and made lifelong friends in the Chi Omega Sorority. She embarked on a career as one of the first women in business at Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company where she met her husband, Raymond. A devoted mother, she was very proud of her boys and would never miss one of their sporting endeavors or music concerts. She loved traveling the world, making long-distance phone calls to friends, dancing to the oldies with her caregiver Eileen and reading bedtime stories to her grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE ROAD, BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 2:00-5:00 pm. (MASKS ARE REQUIRED) In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org in Peggy's memory would be appreciated.
