It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of NORMAN F. KLOPP JR., of Brecksville, OH, passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 27, 2025, at the age of 86. Born April 23, 1938, in Sharon, PA Beloved husband of Sandra Klopp (nee Batton) for 60 years. Loving father of Brian Klopp (Gina Borovica) and Kevin Klopp (Tara Evans). Cherished grandfather of Allison Parks (nee Herceg) (Jaicob), Tyler VanderWyde (Breanna), and Shane VanderWyde. Dearest great grandfather of Kaylee VanderWyde. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman F. Klopp Sr., Beatrice Bunning Klopp and his sisters, Patience Klopp and Kathleen Barnhill (William).
Norman's life was marked by a wealth of accomplishments. He was a 1960 graduate of Yale and a member of the Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. He humbly served as President of both the Achievement Center for Children and the Brecksville-Broadview Heights School Board. He was a Partner at Roulston and Company and became Founding Partner at Midwest Investment Management.
Norman enjoyed traveling the world, was an avid boater, golfer, reader, and sunset enthusiast. He was a member of several clubs, including The University Club of Greater Cleveland, The Hermit Club, Bay Point Yacht Club, The Crews Nest, and Windstar Country Club. "Norm" was known for being diplomatic, extremely patient, and an attentive listener. Family and friends fondly referred to him as the "voice of reason" and loved his expressions, "I never met a cookie I didn't like", and "Right-O". Most importantly, he was a devout husband and father, a trusted business partner, and a loyal friend. Norman's gentle spirit touched countless lives, and he will be remembered fondly and leave a void in the lives of many.
Family and Friends will be received at NOSEK-MCCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME, Friday, April 4, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael Church, 6912 Chestnut Rd., Independence, OH 44131 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Brecksville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations toward a scholarship fund established in Norman's name at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. Donations should be sent directly to the school (6380 Mill Road, Broadview Hts., OH 44147) with checks made payable to the "BBHHS Scholarship Fund in Norman Klopp's name".
