Myrna Hardesty Senick, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday July 31, 2026 in Naples, FL. Daughter of the late William and Nova Hardesty. Wife of the late John N. Senick (married 51 years). Beloved mother of Natalie Hussein (Mohamad) of Melbourne Beach FL, John Senick (Belynda) of Medina OH, Audrey Zolis (Allan) of Odessa FL, Erica Urban of Ocala FL, Jason Senick (Diahn) of Hinckley OH and the late Jennifer Senick. Sister of William Hardesty (the late Jean) of Kuttawa KY, the late James Hardesty (the late Barbara; companion Carolyn Sue, surviving) of Vincennes IN, and Marlene Heltsley (the late Richard) of Edwards CA. Myrna was a grandmother to Mostafa, Sharif, Leah, and Rachel and a great-grandmother to Jordan. Myrna leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Myrna grew up in Evansville Indiana and was a graduate of Reitz Memorial High School. After graduation, she worked in advertising and many of her fashion drawings were in the local paper in Evansville. After she married John, they settled in Medina, Ohio where they raised their 6 children. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends all over the country and she traveled to Egypt and Italy. Myrna was involved in Compassionate Friends after the death of Jennifer in 1986. She started back to her enthusiasm for art. She was a member of the Hinckley Arts Club where she won many ribbons for her landscape and portrait paintings.
Family and friends will be received at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church, 8111 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, OH 44141 on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 10-11 a.m. followed by Myrna's Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment at Brecksville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 in Myrna's memory would be appreciated.
