Michael J. Carlin, III

MICHAEL J. CARLIN III "Mike", age 77, passed away August 29, 2026. Beloved husband of Noraly Carlin (nee Mahon) for 43 years. Dear son of the late Margaret Mary and Michael J. Carlin, Jr. Beloved brother of Maureen Carlin (Dean Wootan), Margaret Mary Carlin (deceased), Timothy Carlin (Betsy) of Illinois, and Patrick Carlin (Cathy). Devoted uncle of Jennifer Albright, Johanna, Michael, Kimberly, Patrick, Samantha, Jacob Carlin, and Joseph Carlin, and Timothy Carlin. Dear brother-in-law of Jeff Mahon (Dawn, deceased) and Colleen Mahon.

Mike graduated from Chanel High School in 1966. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mike went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Dayton in 1976. He also served the City of Brecksville as a police officer for 37 years retiring as the Chief of Police.

Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 9:45 a.m. followed by Mike's Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
