Melinda Jayne Kardos

MELINDA J. KARDOS, age 66, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Broadview Multi-Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving and devoted daughter, Carla at her side.  She was born January 18, 1957, in Cleveland, the daughter of Kenny and Mary Ann Keska.

She graduated from North Ridgeville High School, Class of 1974. Following graduation, she obtained her Cosmetology certification. She held various administrative assistant positions until settling at Applied Technologies in Cleveland in 1997. At Applied, she was offered multiple advancements and opportunities for education, which she accepted. She earned an Associate Degree in Computer Sciences and multiple certifications in information technology, cyber security, information technology governance and more.

Melinda's pride was her grandchildren, Hunter and Cayla, and great grandchildren, Leo and Liam, whom she cherished. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Melinda. Walking her dogs, reading a good novel, a great cup of coffee, and ice cream were among them. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in daily activities and her pleasant calming personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Family and Friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-7:30 p.m. followed by Melinda's Funeral Service at 7:30 pm.  Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY, LANE 1).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in Melinda's memory.
