Margaret D. Austin, age 92, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Born in Cleveland on October 11, 1933, she was the daughter of Michael and Josephine Masterson (nee Czupial). Loving wife of 32 years to the late Charles C. Austin. Sister of the late James Masterson. Mother of Mary Beatty (Harley R.), Michael D. (deceased), and Charles P. Margaret adored her two grandchildren Kelsey and Harley A. They were her bright lights and she doted on both from day one. They were her favorites and everyone was reminded of that daily. She had a special place in her heart for her son-in-law, Harley R. She always considered him her son.
Margaret married Charles C. in 1961. Together they made Brecksville their home. Margaret was a devout Catholic and founding member of St. Basil Catholic Church in Brecksville. Margaret was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was raised in Tremont and attended St. John's nursing school. She found her calling working with children, labor and delivery, and later the American Red Cross which she retired from. Always a kind and caring person, she enjoyed everyone. She was always spreading God's love. She was a one of a kind mother, best friend and will be truly missed.
Private services were held with interment at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 in Margaret's memory would be appreciated.
