Lillian Tilton Obituary

Lillian M. Tilton (Gianangeli) age 100, passed away peacefully Monday, September 7, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Richard L. for 65 years; devoted mother of Claudia Nekl (Ken); cherished grandmother of Jessica Factor (Brian) and Joseph (Gabriela); loving great grandmother of Carter and Lillian Factor; dear sister of the late Vincent (Angela), Helen; Norma, Rita (John), Ralph (Eleanor, surviving), Edward (Kathy, surviving); adored aunt and great aunt to many.

Lillian was born in Bellaire, Ohio into a large Italian family and has been an Ohio resident for most of her life. She was a kind-hearted woman, always spreading joy and love to those she came in contact with. She was very artistic (loved to paint and draw), was crafty and musical too. She was even still able to play the harmonica in recent months.

Lillian leaned on her faith in God throughout her life and maintained an enduring, positive and joyful spirit. She was a devout Catholic and openly loved the Lord in word and deed. She had a beautiful soul, and others could sense that about her. She lived selflessly, giving of her time to her family, her church and the community over the years. She volunteered in many church activities and outreach groups, as a "play lady" in a local hospital pediatric unit, and in some non-profit agencies helping pregnant women, just to name a few.

Lillian has touched many lives of countless people through her radiant spirit, her warmth and her sense of fun. She will also be remembered for the beautiful handwoven crosses that she created and gave to many people over the years, for always carrying candy in her pocket, which she shared with everyone she met and her handkerchief mouse trick. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her, and was loved by so many. She will be greatly missed.
