Joyce Hronek

JOYCE HRONEK (nee Sorokes), age 76, passed away June 6, 2024. Beloved wife of Bill for 52 years. Loving mother of David (Amy). Dear daughter of the late John and Helen Sorokes.  Dearest sister of the late Gary Sorokes (Regina, surviving).

Joyce was a longtime teacher in Fairview Park who loved her students as much as they loved her.  "To the world she may just be a teacher, but to her students, she was the world." She was a dog lover and die hard fan of the Cleveland Guardians. She enjoyed vacations in warm tropical places and spending time laughing with neighbors, friends, and family.

Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 4-8 p.m.  Joyce's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
