John Monaco

JOHN L. MONACO, age 90, beloved husband of 55 years to the late Joanne P. Monaco (nee Price); dear father of Lisa Geringer (Keith), Michael Monaco (Darlene), and Steven Monaco (Jennifer); cherished grandfather of Kristen, Nicole (Nicholas), Kelly (Aaron), Kyle, Anthony, David, and Jessica; great grandfather of Dalton; brother of Joseph Monaco (Margaret, deceased) and the late Patricia Monaco.

John was defined by his unwavering work ethic and generous heart. Outside of work, he served on several tax committees and served on the board of various organizations throughout the years. He also coached little league baseball. He loved reading his newspaper every day and reading about different investment options. He spent countless hours on his investment portfolio, and nothing made him happier than talking to someone about the stock market and investments. He also loved to work in his yard.

Above all, John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with his family and leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom. He adored his grandchildren and his great grandson and loved spending time with them. He spent countless hours traveling to watch their sporting events over the years.

Family and Friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by John's Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice of Southwest Hospital, 18659 Drake Road, Strongsville, OH 44136 in John's memory would be appreciated.
