Helen Marie Sheridan

HELEN MARIE SHERIDAN (nee Cernik), born January 17, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, passed away on October 5, 2022. Married to the late Robert P. Sheridan of Troy Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Justin and Anna Lou (nee Hartman) Cernik. Helen loved her dogs as well as gardening and decorating. She had a creative spirit, developing displays for dental conventions, decorating the annual office Christmas tree and designing flower arrangements. She decorated her home for every holiday to the delight of her neighbors. Helen was employed by Patterson Dental in Customer Service in the Detroit area for many years.  A graduate of Old Trail School in Akron, some of her other activities included Rainbow Girls, where she was Worthy Advisor, and she sang in many choirs and choruses.

Helen is survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Cernik Megery, brother, Justin John "Jack" Cernik Jr. (Dottie), nephew, Jason David Cernik, niece, Janell Cernik Hosch (Jason), and twin great nephews, Austin and Owen Hosch.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
