Ernest E. Hargett

Ernest E. Hargett, age 86 passed away Friday, December 1, 2023. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Duritsky) for 54 years; loving father of Mathew, Jeff (Kristen), and Greg (Heather) Hargett; dearest granddad of Samuel, John, Eliza, Ryan, Susie, M.E., and Evan.

Ernie was a teacher for 32 years for the Garfield Heights School System where he coached bowling and following his retirement in 1996, the Ernie Hargett Bulldog Award was established in his name. Ernie also coached baseball, was a great mathematician, avid golfer, and former Broadview Hts. Councilman.

Ernie's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10 am. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
