Diane Jean (Bush) Dobek

Diane Jean Dobek (nee Bush), age 74 of Brecksville passed away, February 12, 2023 surrounded by her family, Beloved wife of the late Daniel for 45 years; loving mother of Daniele Ibrahim (Steve), Diana Mousoulias (Greg), and Dea Steinmetz (Matt); dearest grandmother of Frederick, Myles, and Charles; dear sister of Lynn Martinis (Dean, deceased) and the late Bill Bush; aunt and great aunt of many; Devoted friend of Bill and Deb and too many others to mention. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Anne Bush.

Diane was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. One of the greatest talents she possessed was her great ability and desire to care for others. She was able to use this gift as a nurse for many years and also as a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She has made many deep, long-lasting relationships with amazing friends who have given back the same love and joy to her that she has given to them over the years. She was hardworking, dedicated, selfless and loving at all times and many people admire her for this. Diane went on many adventures and has had the opportunity to travel the world but always said that her favorite place to be was at home with family. She loved spending many hours with her children and grandsons. Seeing them or just hearing them running around the house would always bring a smile to her face. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading a good book (especially mysteries) and sipping on a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. She was also a lover of all animals, roses, music and capturing precious memories in photographs. She was the ultimate protective mama bear and fought fiercely to protect her family and be there for them for as long as she could. She was a tough, strong Wonder Woman and when she set her mind to something, nothing could stop her (even if she had to bend the rules a little sometimes). The world was truly a brighter place because of her and her light will be so incredibly missed.

Friends will be received at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 4-8 pm. Prayers at the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 9:30 am followed by Diane's Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH at 10 am. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
