Carol L. (Gremb) Kubicek

Carol L. Kubicek, 96, formerly of Brecksville, died October 8, 2022. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Robert, on May 1. Survived by children Kathleen Tuthill (Richard), Beth Hughes (Brian), Barbara Tansel (Grant); and grandchildren Bradley Hughes (Stacy, Lily, Brad); Sarah Stocks (Christie, Lane, Logan); Courtney Hughes (Peyton), Travis Tansel (Kara, Avery, Remy); Robert Tansel; Lindsay McAndrew (Brian, Finley). Carol graduated from Brecksville High School and worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs until Bob's return from the Navy after WWII. They married in 1946, and Carol served alongside Bob during his years as a Brecksville councilman and Mayor. She retired from Brecksville schools where she worked as an attendance secretary for 12 years. Bob and Carol lived most of their lives in Brecksville, and enjoyed many years at their beach home in Redington Shores, FL, with their kids and grandkids. A private graveside service to be held.
