ELIZABETH "Betty" JANE PRUSSAK (nee Twaragowski). Betty was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 15,1929 and she passed away August 9, 2026 at age 96 surrounded by family. She married Bernard F. Prussak on August 11,1951. They raised 4 daughters, Darlene O'Sullivan, Barbara Nagel, Annette (William) Wozniak, and Celeste Prussak-Klein. Betty had 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, Vincent, Sarah, Katie, Andrea, Norman, Benjamin, Natalie, James, Jennifer, and Matthew; 15 great grandchildren and 1great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; mother, Clara Dzik; sister, Theresa Schultz; daughters Darlene and Celeste; and grandson James Klein III. She was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Barbara Nagel, her granddaughters, Jennifer Klein and Sarah Nagel; as well as other family members and caretakers. A special thank you to the Reserve Care Hospice team, especially Leah, Emily, Wayne, Eric, and Sarah, special thanks to Darlene, Janine, and Kim Klein; and home caregivers, Sue B., Sue P., and Caitlin.

Betty graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Cleveland, Ohio on June 6,1948, where she persisted with perfect school attendance. Betty went to cosmetology school. She worked in several shops in Independence and Brecksville.

Barney and Betty were longtime members of Alliance of Poles (PRCUA), Polish Women, Polish National Alliance, and Union of Poles. They celebrated their Polish heritage by going to ethnic celebrations, dances and in the summer picnics. Betty was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Family was the core and heart of Betty's later life, prioritizing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She carried on the traditions of proper pierogi crafting, kielbasa making, and listening to Polka from her Polish heritage. She enjoyed cooking the ethnic dishes that nourished her family. Betty enjoyed gardening and nature. In her recent years, she enjoyed listening to Chicken Soup for the Soul, Hallmark stories, PBS classics, and Masterpiece theater. She was the Matriarch for 22 years, and she was grateful to be known as "Grammy" and "Buscia".

Thanks and gratitude to our heavenly father for her peaceful passing, and now in the everlasting presence of Jesus Christ in heaven.
