Beth Drozdowski Obituary

Beth Drozdowski (nee Tonkin) age 80 long time resident of Brecksville and Broadview Heights; beloved wife of Jerry "Bud" Drozdowski, loving mother of Scott Rock (Denise), Shellie Rock (fiance Frank) and Neil Rock (Robyn); step mother of Duane (Marcia), Colin (Angela) and Devin; dearest grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 6; sister of Charles (Marsha) and Dr. Russell (Betsy) Tonkin; beloved daughter of the late Charles and Frances Tonkin; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Beth was loved by many and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed giving and making those around her happy, she had a heart of gold.

Beth was married to Jerry for 39 wonderful years, with 6 children between them, now spouses and many grandchildren.

She was a BBHHS Graduate (59) along with Jerry (57), she was very active in the Alumni, reunion committee and pancake breakfasts during Brecksville Home Days.

In the past few years she volunteered at the Brecksville Human Resource Dept. making and serving lunch, She enjoyed it so much along with all the wonderful people she worked with.

Her ultimate passion was cooking. Be that holiday meals, desserts, cookies, soups, breads, pies, you name it Beth would cook it, of course all home made from scratch. And she was pretty darn good at it, we told her she should open "Bushas Bakery". She would ship cookies to the grandchildren in college, and would always send their favorite kind.

Jerry was the lucky one because he would get to try all the new casseroles, cakes, pies, and breads she tried! She would share all her baked goods with anyone who would stop by for a visit.

In the summer she loved taking care of her red geraniums and all of there house plants along with seeing her brothers and extended family every year at Capon Spring. Beth was an avid reader, she always had 5 or more library books on the sofa stacked next to her. She also enjoyed knitting and knitted each family an afghan of their color choice, along with scarves for all the girls.

She will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
