Andrew J. Thur

Andrew John Thur, age 94 passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Vasil) for 70 years; loving father of Nancy Spino (Andrew, deceased), Donna Connolly (Brant), Andrew Jr. (Melissa), Theresa Wrabel (John Sr.), and Charles (Margaret); dearest grandfather of Michelle (Luke), Shannon, Andrea, Brian, Brice, Andrew, Darren, Dana, Alan, Taylor, John Jr. (Brittany), Sydney, Paige, Thomas, and Alysa: Great grandfather of Devon, Chloe, Miley, and John III.

Andrew proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 33 for over 70 years. Andrew was an avid fisherman and loved polka dancing. He enjoyed watching professional sports as well as cheering on his children and grandchildren in their activities. Andrew was never short on making jokes, and his sense of humor brought laughter and joy to everyone around him.

Andrew will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his lively spirit, and the many happy memories he leaves behind.

Andrew's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption, 9183 Broadview Rd., Broadview Hts., OH 44147 on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:00 am where friends will be received from 10-11 am. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
