Alda Frances (Lasik) Nelson

Alda Frances Nelson (nee Lasik) age 101 passed away peacefully Sunday, October 22, 2023. Beloved wife of the late James; loving mother of Norman G. Schuld (deceased) (Leanne, first wife deceased) (Dana, surviving), Pamela Velardo (James), and Noran Libricz (George); step mother of Darren and Vicki Nelson;  dearest grandmother of 12; great grandmother 18 and great great grandmother of 1; loving daughter of James and Alda Lasik (both deceased); dear sister of  Carol Szabo (Robert) and James Lasik (deceased) and Gracie Lasik (deceased).

Alda loved gardening, going to the duck pond, making candy and baking, crocheting blankets, bowling (which she did until she was 90), baseball, traveling, taking pictures and going to Chagrin Falls for ice cream. She loved to dance especially to big band music, but most of all she loved having family and friends around. She will be missed by many.

Friends will be received at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6-8 pm. Alda's funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
